Terms and Conditions

Please find below the terms and conditions which are to be considered when letting our caravan.

1) Deposit. A booking for a holiday becomes firm when the
deposit is received by Devon Is A Place On Earth. Up
to that time the booking is classed as provisional, and will
be held for a maximum of 7 days. A refundable security
deposit may also apply.

2) Payments. The full balance of the total holiday cost is
payable no later than 6 weeks prior to the date of travel.
Should your request be within 6 weeks of travel then full
payment shall be required when booking.Devon Is A Place
On Earth reserve the right to withdraw use of the booked
accommodation, should full payment not be received by
the due date. Any monies already received by Devon Is A
Place On Earth will be forfeited. Once the full balance has
been received your completed booking form will be returned
to you as your receipt and key release form for the park reception.

3) Cancellation. You are entitled to cancel your booking at
any time subject to these terms and conditions on notice in
writing. Devon Is A Place On Earth may also withdraw
services to you, but will normally only do so for failure to
comply with these terms and conditions. For cancellations
made within 42 (forty-two) days of the holiday start date,
the hirer is still responsible for the final payment on the due
date. Any failure to make the payment will be treated as
breach of contract. On receipt of written cancellation,
Devon Is A Place On Earth will endeavour to re-book
the accommodation, and if successful will refund all money
paid minus your deposit and administration fee of £25
(twenty-five pounds).

4) Utilities. Devon Is A Place On Earth cannot be held
responsible for any temporary interruption of services due
to unforeseen circumstances. Electricity is metered and is
included in your holiday cost. Gas bottles and are owned
by Devon Is A Place On Earth. It is the Hirers
responsibility to ensure that any depleted bottles are
reported to the Park Reception for replacement. All Gas
costs are met by Devon Is A Place On Earth and are
included in the cost of your holiday.

5) TV Licence. Devon Is A Place On Earth do not
provide a TV licence for the accommodation. It is the
responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that they comply with
the current TV Licensing regulations for static caravans.
Devon Is A Place On Earth cannot be held responsible
for any fees/fines levied in the case of a breach of licence.
Details can be found on your existing TV Licence. If you
are unsure please seek our advice.

6) Hirers Party Details. You are not a group of persons of
the same sex or under 21 years of age. It is the policy of
Devon Is A Place On Earth and the Park Owners to
discourage bookings from non-family groups. The Hirer
must be an occupant of the accommodation for the entire
period of the booking.

7) Accommodation. Accommodation is limited to the number
of persons for whom the booking is made. The
accommodation is also subject to a maximum occupancy
of 8 (eight) persons.

8) Visitor Obligation. The Hirer undertakes to keep the
accommodation and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and
effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the
commencement of the booking period (reasonable wear
and tear excepted). The Hirer will be held responsible for
any costs incurred for repairs up to and including the full
replacement value of any part of the accommodation,
fixtures, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as to
be incapable of being restored to its previous condition. It
is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that any such
damage is reported as soon as possible. This also
includes reporting any damage to the accommodation,
fixtures, fittings and effects caused by the previous
occupants. Failure to report any existing problems may
result in the Hirer being held responsible as above.

9) Cleaning. Unless stated, Devon Is A Place On Earth
do not pay for the cleaning of accommodation on your
departure. The Hirer undertakes the responsibility of
cleaning before vacating the accommodation at the end of
the hire period. The Hirer will be held responsible for any
costs incurred in relation to the non compliance of our
cleaning policy.

10) Small Breakages. All small breakages such as plates,
glasses, cups etc. are the responsibility of the Hirer and
must be replaced with similar items as soon as possible.

11) Loss of Property. Devon Is A Place On Earth cannot
be held responsible for loss or damage to belongings of the
Hirer and any member of his/her party.

12) Rights of Entry. Devon Is A Place On Earth and/or its
appointed agents reserve the right to enter the property at
any reasonable time. We will endeavour to notify the Hirer
in advance of any scheduled maintenance that requires
access to the accommodation.

13) Smoking. Please note that Devon Is A Place On Earth has a no smoking policy. Guest are welcome to smoke outside of the caravan however are urged to clear all cigarette debris.

14) Pets. No pets are allowed unless express permission is
given by Devon Is A Place On Earth. Well-trained
dogs will only be excepted on condition that they are not
allowed on furniture and especially the beds, nor will they
be left unattended in the accommodation.

15) Park Regulations & Conditions of Booking. Devon Cliffs
Holiday Park is a family park, and the Hirer undertakes that
his/her party:
• Are not a group of young persons of the same sex or
under 21 years of age. It is Devon Cliffs policy to
discourage bookings from non-family groups.
• Agree to keep noise at night to an absolute minimum.
• Agree to keep to the speed limit of 10 mph at all times
and to use the car parks where provided, and not to
drive on the grass in wet conditions.
• Agree not to take any dogs on the beach from 1st May
until the 30th September and understand that dogs
must be kept on a lead & under control of a
responsible person at all times, and that dogs must
not be allowed to foul the park. (Dog walk areas are
provided). Certain breeds of dog are not permitted –
please check with the park for details.
• Agree to abide by the club regulations.
• Agree to be bound by any relevant conditions of
booking imposed by Haven Holidays which relate to
the use of the park and its facilities.

16) Complaints. Every care is taken to ensure that the
accommodation is kept to a high standard. Should you find
on arrival that there is a complaint, please let us know
immediately. Devon Is A Place On Earth will not make refunds (full or
part) in respect of complaints made after the visitors
departure from the accommodation if the visitors did not
make a complaint or the problem known to us during the
booking period. Every effort will then be made to assist
you. We value every booking and want all our visitors to
enjoy their holidays.

17) Acceptance of Terms & Conditions. Once a deposit has
been made to Devon Is A Place On Earth in respect of
a holiday booking you are deemed to have accepted these
terms and conditions of letting. These terms and conditions
of letting supersede any prior arrangement whether written
or oral.
